Resamples every guide to the same number of control points along its arc length, preserving shape.

All guides are resampled to this count along their arc length, so the shape is preserved — points are redistributed evenly rather than added or dropped at the ends.

When you need it

Add Resample before Simulate when guides were imported with varying point counts. The solver needs a uniform control point count across guides, and imported or hand-authored curves rarely have one.

It is also useful to bring a very dense imported curve set down to something workable, or to raise a coarse one so downstream deformers have points to work with.

Where it goes in the stack

Resample belongs in the guide stack. Put it as early as the problem allows — usually straight after the guides enter the stack, and always before Simulate.

Tips

• More points is not better. Every downstream modifier and the solver both cost per point. Use the fewest that hold the shape.
• Watch tight curls. A coiled guide needs noticeably more points than a straight one to survive resampling without flattening.
